Shopping
Maximilianstrasse and Richard-Wagner-Strasse are great shopping streets at the heart of town, and the side streets also have lots of lovely little stores. Souvenirs of Bayreuth: gift packs of the celebrated Maisels Weisses Bier, beer steins and designer glasses, and authentic pewter tankards direct from the Sturm tin foundry. At festival time, a bust of Richard Wagner made from marzipan by the Funsch marzipan factory (which also has a café). And, of course, CDs, DVDs and videos of the festival. The Rotmain Centre
Just a few metres from the pedestrian precinct is the Rotmain Centre with around 80 shops and a café under one roof. Spread over two floors, the shopping arcade sells fashions, jewellery, shoes, multimedia, gifts, food and perfumes. Eysserhaus Arcade
The shopping experience at the heart of Bayreuth. It has two covered car parks and can be accessed directly from the market square or from Kanalstrasse. 21 shops under a glass dome make shopping an experience, even in bad weather Walküre porcelain works
