Every year Hamburg Exhibition Centre attracts up to 10,000 exhibitors and more than 1 million visitors from around the world. Its 40 trade fairs, exhibitions and other events are primarily centred on the maritime industry, renewable energy, aviation, food and drink and the hotel sector. They include trade fairs such as SMM, hanseboot boat show, INTERNORGA, WindEnergy, H2Expo and the tourism exhibition REISEN HAMBURG.

Hamburg Exhibition Centre enjoys a central location in the city centre and is just a few minutes walk from the intercity railway station. More than 100 hotels are within easy reach and the airport is also located nearby. Hamburg Exhibition Centre is undergoing a step-by-step reconstruction program in the coming years that will transform it into a state-of-the-art trade fair and exhibition location with a total floor area of 84,000m².
