Nature & greenery
Any exploration of the countryside around Heiligendamm will lead you to the Baltic Sea and its stunning coastlines. And exploring the unique coastal landscape in the nearby national park is the highlight of any trip to the region. Baltic coast
Watersports are an integral part of life on the 60 kilometre long Baltic coast. Both beginners and professionals come here to sail, windsurf and dive. But if you prefer something a little more relaxing you can always find space to chill out on the long beaches along the coast. Enjoy the best that the Baltic coast has to offer - recreation, rest and relaxation for everyone. West-Pomeranian Boddenlandschaft National Park
Covering 132 square kilometres of land and 673 square kilometres of water, the national park is one of the few remaining large areas of unspoilt countryside in central Europe. It was set up to protect and maintain the landscape of the region with its dunes, spits, coastal lakes, mudflats and salt grass islands, its dynamic steep and flat coastlines, unspoilt forests and the largest migration rest area for cranes in central Europe. Visitors can explore the national park independently or on a guided tour.
