Housed in the former living quarters and state rooms of the counts and grand dukes of Hessen, the palace museum offers insights into life at the Darmstadt court. The 22 rooms open to the public contain royal portraits, townscapes and landscapes of Darmstadt and the surrounding area, furniture and objets d'art.The Wella Museum
Some 300 items from the total 3,000 piece collection have been selected for the exhibition. The aim is to present a representative cross-section of the history of beauty care – from Egyptian civilisation to the modern day.
