Leipzig's Auenwald is a unique park and meadow landscape which runs through the city from north to south ideal for walking, cycling and horse riding. Popular places for days out include the Clara Zetkin park and the Scheibenholz racetrack, the Rosental park with its "window on the zoo, the botanical gardens and butterfly house, and Leipzig zoo, featuring Pongoland, the world's biggest zoo facility for anthropoids.
