Nature & greenery

In the Döberitzer Heide nature conservation area you can go on interesting walks through oak and birch forests and across open heathland, moors and sandflats. The area is also a habitat for many rare species of plants and animals. At the heart of the conservation area is Hasenheide hill. From its viewing platform there are stunning views across the reserve.
Westhavelland nature reserve is one of the regions with the highest number of lakes and waterways in Germany and provides a unique habitat for endangered plant and animal species. The Havel river is the defining feature of the Westhavelland region. The region's scenery is characterised by densely wooded hills and little villages. This is where nature lovers can find peace, quiet, and nature at its best. The region is best discovered by bike, on horseback or by boat.
