The Spessart hills are one of the most densely wooded uplands in Germany, with little villages of pretty half-timbered houses and narrow alleyways at its heart. You can get close to nature by going on long hikes through dense woodland or by cycling along extensive trails. If you look closely you can even spot native deer, wild boar and salmon.
