The State Museum of Technology houses exhibits relating to vehicles and transport, cars made in eastern Germany, model ships, aviation engines and ejector seats. In the "Power Industry" section visitors can learn about old and more modern methods of power generation and see a 20,000 watt light bulb, gas lamps, electric household appliances and a mercury arc valve. An old stone-cutting mill dating back to the 18th century has been successfully reconstructed and is now once more in working order. From April to October visitors can see how this historical watermill saws, slices and polishes large pieces of rock. There is also an exhibition on the principles of milling.
