Maria Laach Abbey

In the Eifel region around Koblenz, Maria Laach Abbey is an idyllic and beautiful location for pilgrimage. The history of the church and Benedictine monastery stretches back to the 11th century, yet its landscapes, whose lakes, hills, and valleys were created by a volcano around 10,000 BC, are some of the youngest in Europe.
