Christmas Markets in the East

Schneeberg

Schneeberg's Christmas market is typical of the Erzgebirge region, with pretty little huts clustered round the market square, a huge Christmas pyramid, trumpet fanfares and brass bands. The highlight of the celebrations is the Festival of Lights, held during the second weekend of Advent, with a grand miners' parade in the evening.
