Zwickau

Zwickau's Christmas market, in the Erzgebirge foothills, is one of the most beautiful in Saxony. It is held in the old quarter, bathed in the glow of the Christmas pyramid and the Christmas tree's 500 lights. Santa himself drops by every day at 4.30pm to see the children. On 15 December 2007, there is a miners' bands parade, a timehonoured Erzgebirge tradition with marching bands and traditional costumes.
