Christmas Markets


Trier

Amid the medieval surroundings of Hauptmarkt square and in front of the mighty cathedral, 95 festively decorated wooden huts create an enchanting Christmas atmosphere in Germany’s oldest town, renowned for its Porta Nigra gate. Hot tea or delicious glühwein help keep out the cold as you listen to Christmas carols played by brass bands and trumpeters. Arts and crafts, sweet treats and hot chestnuts all bring smiles to faces - what could be better?
