Visiting the weavers' Christmas market in Neubrandenburg, the town of four gates, is like stepping into a bygone world. Its nostalgic simplicity is the perfect antidote to our fast-paced modern times. There's no shortage of glühwein, Christmas cookies and crafts to enjoy, as well as the fairytale forest, historical railway, old-fashioned carousels and some lively entertainment on stage. There is also an abundance of charm and tradition at the Vierrademühle mills Christmas market on 13 & 14 Dec 2008.
