Ice-skating fun for all ages
Karlsruhe is transformed into a fairytale Christmas city during the festive season. Why not explore its enchanting surroundings on a horse-drawn carriage ride? Delightful decorations around the ice rink on Friedrichsplatz square include a fairytale forest and giant cookie tray: the perfect backdrop for you to practice your pirouettes. At the popular Christkindlesmarkt, wooden huts cluster around the Christmas pyramid on market square. There is also a medieval market at Karlsburg Castle in nearby Durlach.
