Gengenbach

A treasure trove of the imagination
Gengenbach’s Christmas market takes place against the backdrop of the neo-classical town hall, which is transformed into a giant Advent calendar for the occasion. Every evening at 6pm - to the accompaniment of music and theatre - one of 24 illuminated windows opens to reveal a picture from Tomi Ungerer’s famous songbook, transforming the town hall into a treasure trove of the imagination. While in Gengenbach, pop in to see the fascinating exhibitions at the Museum in Löwenberg House.
