Enter a world of fairytale enchantment at Christmas: on the opening day there is complete darkness for half an hour, until the bells ring out at 6pm. Suddenly, 200,000 festive lights bathe the Bad Hindelang Christmas village and its beautifully decorated huts in a spectacular glow. Here, childhood dreams come true in the Christmas workshop, Pippi Longstocking's Villa Villekulla and at the living Nativity scene in the park. The Christmas tree-themed arts and crafts exhibition, the giant Advent calender on the front of the old castle and the 'Alpine Christmas', a Nativity play set in an old stable with real farmyard animals and heavenly music, all provide their own very special moments. If that's not enough, the 'Enchanted fairytale world' Christmas parade with its angels, elves and nutcrackers is sure to put everyone in a festive mood. Even the Snow Queen features among the 140 fantastic figures from stories and legends that wind their way through the village. Christmas carols and alphorn players complete the seasonal cheer in front of the town hall.
