Festively decorated with seven kilometres of Christmas lights, the historical old quarter with the baroque 'hospital church' is a splendid setting for Bayreuth's Christkindlesmarkt. Picturesque stalls offer seasonal treats to delight all the senses. There are also countless cultural events to enjoy and a Nativity exhibition to visit. The winter village in front of the Old Palace is a Christmas wonderland where you can sip glühwein and sample Franconian specialities.
