The Christmas market in Paderborn is set against the illuminated backdrop of the town's towering cathedral. Arts and crafts from all over Germany, a huge Advent calendar at the historical town hall, Paderborn's 'Pfarrerskäppchen' pastries, baked apples, traditional hot drinks such as 'heisse Bäuerin', 'heisser Wilhelm' and potent rum punch, and a living Nativity scene all add up to a truly magical atmosphere.
