The enchanting Christmas forest in the UNESCO World Heritage town of Goslar is a fairytale come true: tens of thousands of lights illuminate the fir trees, a soft forest floor lies underfoot, and the air is filled by gentle music and tantalising aromas. Neighbouring Marktplatz square is the medieval setting for the Christmas market, whose 80 lovingly decorated food, drink and craft stalls are arranged in the shape of a star. Kids can visit the petting zoo and ride the children's railway.
