Christmas Markets


Leer

Festive visitors to the East Frisian town of Leer on the North Sea coast are greeted by a giant Christmas pyramid. Bathed in a gentle glow, huge nutcrackers and incense burners in the form of smoking men are surrounded by fairytale huts and stalls selling crafts and yuletide treats. Sundays have a real maritime feel at the old-fashioned Achter d’ Waag Christmas market in front of the splendid museum harbour.
