München

An unforgettable Christmas experience
Stroll around Munich’s traditional Christmas market on Marienplatz square and find everything you could want and more. For Nativity scenes, head to the Kripperlmarkt, one of the largest in the world. There is live music every day on the town hall balcony. Discover the meaning of words such as Kletznbrot and Fatschnkindl on cultural guided tours. Kids can play and do handicrafts free of charge in the Himmelswerkstatt, while the Krampus run brings Bavarian traditions to life. Don’t forget to visit the Christmas market run by artists and craftspeople in Schwabing, Munich’s cultural district that goes back over 1,200 years.
