Wernigerode

A Christmas market from the pages of a storybook
Decorated stalls bathed in a festive glow are set against the magnificent town hall and beautiful medieval houses. The aromas of roasted almonds and glühwein are a hallmark of the Christmas market in Wernigerode. Christmas events, including concerts, are held throughout the town. Why not board one of the Christmas trains up Mount Brocken on the Harz narrow-gauge railway? Ride through the snow-covered countryside in a historical carriage pulled by a steam engine and expect some surprises along the way.
