The Passion Play in the breathtaking town of Oberammergau in Bavaria dates back to 1633, and is held only once every 10 years. Thousands of spectators from all over the world witness this fascinating world-famous play of the suffering, dying and the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, which is performed by more than 2,000 local residents over the course of 5 months from May 15 through October 3, 2010.

The world's most famous Beer Festival, the Oktoberfest in Munich, is celebrating its 200th anniversary this year. A special program and interesting exhibitions on the festival's history await visitors from all over the world. More than six million people are expected to join the annual festival from September 18 through October 4, 2010. In 2011, Germany will host the FIFA Women's World Cup 2011™. The first phase of ticket sales has just been extended until further notice due to huge demand. It offers the so-called Venue Specific Tickets. In the second sales phase from February 17 until June 30, 2021 specific group quotas will be offered exclusively to clubs. Single tickets for all matches will be offered for the first time from August 1st, 2010.
