Treat yourself to a day at the Wonnemar thermal pool complex in Bad Liebenwerda. Tiny tots can have loads of fun in "Wonniland" and the kiddies' wave pool, while thrill seekers head for the breathtaking Wonnemar slide tower.

Lakeside activities and relaxation

Lake Senftenberg, one of Europe's largest artificial lakes, is a popular destination for watersports enthusiasts, holidaymakers and nature lovers.

The family park right beside the lake is the perfect place for families to stay. It offers a sunbathing lawn and its own 1km stretch of sandy beach, which shelves gently down to the clear water. Attractions include a giant trampoline, a waterslide, a climbing wall, adventure playgrounds and children's activities, so boredom is out of the question. The lake has a total of seven kilometres of beaches suitable for bathing and watersports such as sailing, windsurfing and diving. Leisurely boat tours around the lake are also on offer. For fun and adventure, take an excursion to the Kleinwelka maze near Bautzen and enjoy finding your way out of the labyrinth of hedges. Next door is a lovingly designed miniature park with lots of activities and a dinosaur park with life-size models.
