Leisure paradise in an idyllic setting
Lake Bostalsee - one of the largest leisure lakes (120 hectares) in south-west Germany - is set in the Saar-Hunsrück nature reserve in the Saarland. Here you'll find two beaches and a variety of activities for all ages.
The sandy beaches and sunbathing areas at Bosen and Gonnesweiler are perfect for wonderful summer days by the water. Bosen beach also has five beach volleyball courts (free of charge, April to October). Favourable wind conditions make Lake Bostalsee ideal for sailing and windsurfing. A more leisurely way to enjoy the idyllic scenery is a cruise on the solar catamaran "St. Wendeler Land". There's lots for families to do in this region: riding holidays at one of the nearby stables in Gonnesweiler, an excursion to the Freisen wildlife park or a thrilling ride on the summer toboggan run at Peterberg hill in Braunshausen - holiday fun and entertainment guaranteed.
