Travel Without Barriers
The Deutsche Bahn (German railway) offers transportation service to the disabled. You can book this in advance using an individual hotline (+49 (0) 18 05 / 512 512) from Monday through Friday, from 8am to 12pm, and Saturdays from 8am to 2pm. Germany also has 385 railway stations which have lifting aides or mobile ramps. Under certain prerequisites, the disabled and their escorts travel by train free-of-charge or at reduced rates. You can find more information in the extensive brochure "Information for Disabled Travelers", available at all DB ticket counters or by ordering directly on the Internet. Check the Deutsche Bahn website for their services for the Handicapped.
