Preserving the cultural heritage
The Hessian House Foundation was set up by the Hessen royal dynasty to preserve their cultural heritage. It also works to keep alive the history of the Landgraves of Hessen-Kassel and Hessen-Darmstadt and the Princes and Dukes of Hessen.
The foundation now owns an extensive art collection (large selections of which are exhibited in its museum in Fasanerie Palace), Friedrichshof Castle in Kronberg im Taunus, the Hotel Hessischer Hof in Frankfurt, the Prinz von Hessen winery in Rheingau's Johannisberg Estate and the Gut Panker stud farm in Schleswig-Holstein.
Landgrave Moritz von Hessen is the chairman of the foundation and is responsible for the administration of its cultural heritage.
